Authentic materials: a saver or a spender

The entire lesson is about starting new businesses and their chances of being successful at the start of business.

The lesson begins with a brief discussion of startups – except that there is no assumption that there is one correct definition. To facilitate the statements, many phrases – hints have been prepared. The next part of the lesson is a YouTube video about startups and a few questions about content. Students read the definition from Wikipedia and move on to another discussion – again using phrases – hints. Then the students create several collocations used in the video, matching the words and try to combine phrases from the field of new enterprises with definitions. The next exercise is about word formation and the formation of nouns, verbs and adjectives, and then using them in sentences.
